Several of these projects were awarded to him as a result of national competition. The primary objective of the research is to develop new and effective methods which can be used to analyze the complex behavior of vehicles such as automobiles, vans, trucks, and sport utility vehicles, in various driving maneuvers and roadway conditions, and to enhance ability and ease a design process of vehicle suspensions, steering, drive, brakes, and their components.

Performing state-of-the-art research and the development of new methods for use in analysis and synthesis of vehicle dynamic systems have always been Dr. Nalecz' solid track record. He has developed a number of powerful vehicle computer simulations and methods, which are also used by academic institutions, and federal and industrial agencies such as MIT, U.S. Department of Transportation, ICI, Volvo, Michelin, and Nissan. These methods and computer models have been used to research vehicle mechanics and crash avoidance.

Dr. Nalecz is the author of one book and 60 journal publications, technical reports, and papers given at international conferences.
